| A. Yes, if you have comprehensive coverage on the car that
hits the deer, it will be covered and your comprehensive deductible will apply. |
Note:
hitting a wild animal is the only exception to the collision definition if you
hit anything else it will be considered a collision. For example, if you hit a
hole in the road, this is a collision. Also, if you have an accident while trying
to avoid a deer, this is a collision. Otherwise, some people would claim they
were avoiding a deer so they would not have an at-fault accident on their policy.
